Tips Speed Internet Connection with Windows Proxy Server (SQUID)

/ On : 00.13/ Thank you for visiting my small blog here. If you wanted to discuss or have the question around this article, please contact me e-mail at satrio satriolucky@gmail.com.
Speed Internet does not always match what we want yng. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow. When the internet speed is slow, as always happens in the cafe or shop free hotspots for example, we're going to feel tired and just want to taste our own bandwidth.

What power, even though we complain to the owner of the stall, because of their slow speed intenet will reply with the answer to the classic "it was from there mas, there may be interference, wait wrote, later also fast itself ...", yes, that's all they can say . But that does not mean we can not do anything - anything.

We can change the setting laptop / computer to make it more friendly to the bandwidth in order to increase our internet speed. In this case I will discuss about how to increase Internet speed by using a SQUID as a windows proxy server.

With the windows proxy server, we will get some benefit. That saves bandwidth and increase Internet speed. Which is when we use mobile broadband access that usually do not get a signal fullbar, will be able to increase internet speed by 3x as much, certainly with the help of windows proxy server. Namely SQUID Proxy.

How it Works SQUID Proxy:
Each of us access the actual site that we do is download all the data in the form of text, links, text, images and other files within the page.

In the standard process, all files will be stored in a temporary file browser. But in practice, each of us to open the same page, we still download the same file, repeatedly. Consider it a total of 500KB size web pages, then if we open the page ten times a day then we will use the bandwidth of 500KB x 10 = 5MB!

Proxy or also called Squid is actually a program that was developed in the Linux world that works effectively manage temporary files. I found SquidNT developed version of the Linux root by Guido Serassio.

How it works together with Squid on Linux, which automatically stores all the files that you downloaded while accessing the site in a temporary file called a cache. There all the content, addresses, text, images and web pages are stored.

By the time we access the site for the first time, Squid will automatically save and create links so that when the shadow of the same page was opened for the second time, the browser not to download directly from the original site. But downloading from squid cache that in fact exist in the PC / LAN. So web pages will open faster. If you often open the same page, the process will be much faster when both time and so on.

Now we see, how many calculations bandwithnya. A page of 500KB, containing a simple web page and various images. Squid will only download the HTML code of his course, and sift all the information in it.

If the screening is all the supporting data (images, scripts, files) already exist in the cache, your bandwidth will not be larger than 100Kb even smaller. Let's just say we did refresh for 10 times the results obtained are: 100KB x 10 = 2MB only. You can save on bandwidth to 1 / 5 even smaller. Especially for the use of smart internet dapet not much signal.
